UDAI is governed through two named bodies. What each body decides, and how change control works, is documented under Governance.

Project Steering Committee

Institutional representation for strategic governance (policy alignment, ecosystem health, and public safety):

Drone Federation India (DFI) — leads strategic direction and digital public infrastructure stewardship.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) — represents operational hosting and air navigation stewardship.

Institutional representation for technical governance (API stability, data integrity, and vendor neutrality):

Drone Federation India (DFI) — leads technical architecture, open standards, and vendor-neutral access.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) — represents production hosting constraints and operational reliability.
